I am co-director of of Kennisland, an Amsterdam based think-tank focussed on innovation in the knowledge economy. I regularily advise public sector institution on copyright policy issues and help them with implement open licensing systems for data and content. I combine extensive technical understanding with legal expertise in the field op intellectual property law. Over the past 3 years i have been the main architect of the Europeana Licensing Framework and as a result i have an extensive network in the digital cultural heritage sector across the EU.
I am public project lead for Creative Commons in the Netherlands and a board member of Creative Commons international and i sit on the board of the Dutch Center for International Cultural Cooperation that aimes to strengthen the dutch arts, culture and heritage sector by promoting international collaboration
